Prominent TV host, Mona El-Shazly hosted Thursday Egyptian actor Ahmed Elawady, on her program “Makom Mona El-Shazly” broadcast on “CBC” Channel.
During the interview, he addressed several artistic and personal topics including, his relationship with his wife, actress Yasmin Abdelaziz.
Elawady revealed that the beginning of his relationship with the Abdelaziz was being nominated for the 2019 TV series "Lakher Nafas".
"I wished to work with star Yasmin Abdelaziz, and when the company nominated me, they told me that it was the role of an officer and I replied that I will not cast as a police officer, but when I knew that it will be starring Yasmine Abdel Aziz, I agreed," the actor noted.
Elawady opened up about how he fell in love with his wife, "the following day I went to the rehearsal, and found the director sitting next to two empty chairs, I contemplated that if I sit on the side, I will not be able to converse with the director if an inpidual comes and sits in the middle, which will put an end to it, so, I decided to sit next to the director, making the only empty chair is next to me, which what indeed happened,".
He continued: "She arrived and greeted me. I ask if I could look at the script with her as I did not have a copy of the script with me. She agreed,"
"We spoke, and the situation occurred like any normal relationship: acquaintance, admiration, love, and then marriage," Elawady noted.
The actor pointed out that they did not get married in May, which was the time they declared their marriage. He noted that they were already married since January, at the time of her birthday.
"We did not announce their relationship because at the beginning they did not know if it would work out or not. We fought, break up, and then get back together. We did not wish to publicly announce it out of fear that if we break up, it will be linked to her," Elawady stated.
He continued: "We decided that we would announce the marriage in Ramadan, to focus on filming the series that we were working on, but when the birthday pictures were published, the world came undone,"
The actor addressed the new pieces that claimed that Abdelaziz is 12 years older than him, noting: "This is not true, she is only 6 years older than me, and even if she is older, that is okay,"
"When we announced at 4 a.m., it was because Yasmin name not to besmirched, and to let people know that she belongs to me," he stressed.

Asking for porce
Elawady shared with the audience his eating habits, one which made Abdelaziz asked for a porce.
"One time I was sitting and she saw me eating a pigeon with its bones, and she made me feel as if I was eating a human being, and argued with me on how could I eat it this way and told me: You should not be messed with," Elawady stated.
He continued: "Three days later she found me eating raw liver, a habit of mine which I am used to eating with its blood. She woke at 10 am when she saw me, she asked me what was that I am eating, was it jelly? I told her not to shout, and its raw liver,"
"She told me, "You are eating blood?" and as I attempted to explain to her, she stated: "You are porcing me. You eat raw liver, then what will you do to me?!" Elawady noted.
During the interview, Abdelaziz posed a question to her husband, about what he loves the most about her, to which he replied: that she was kind, reliable, and have his back.
She also asked him about the things he hates about her and makes him crazy.
Elawady stated that there is nothing that he hates about her, remarking that the thing that annoys him most is the lengthening of the quarrel between them, noting that he loves to end the argument.
