Legendary Egyptian poet Ahmed Abdel Moati Hegazy participated in the first poetry session of the 52nd Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) on Thursday.

Hegazy, who is known for his wide contributions to Arabic verse, cited a poem entitled "Khareg El Waqt." His performance is still amusing due to his employment of rhyming sounds and a catchy classic usage of vocabulary.

The renowned author is one of the shining names in the history of Arabic verse in the modern age, and he is known for several works such as "Madina Bela Qalb."

The presented poem by the renowned figure is strong evidence of Hegazy's ageless talent and timeless imagination. It is full of symbols that portrayed the conflicted feelings of the human being and how the human deals with every day psychologically and emotionally.

The phrase "Khareg El Wakt" (Beyond Time) is a deep expression that describes the life of a man who stops feeling the real rhythm of life or hearing the beating sound of every day.

CIBF events will be streamed online through the fair's official platform, and all events were recorded to be streamed for all audiences.
