The Reds Devils were dealt a huge blow last week as they announced that four players tested positive for COVID-19.
Mahmoud Kahraba, Marwan Mohsen, Akram Tawfik, and Mohamed Hany were all confirmed to miss up to two weeks of action after contracting the virus.
The quartet had joined Amr Al-Soleya in isolation as part of the COVID-19 protocol as they added to Al Ahly’s woes.
Al Ahly have begun their league title defense this season undefeated after picking up three wins from their opening four games.
They are set to face newly-promoted Ceramica Cleopatra FC in the Egyptian Premier League’s fifth round on Friday, January 8th.
