The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Al-Sayed el-Quseir met with his Italian counterpart Francesco Lollobrigida on the sidelines of World Food Forum (WFF), which is currently being held at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the Italian capital, Rome.
The ministers discussed the existing aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture, while el-Quseir explained to his Italian counterpart the incentives that the Egyptian state offers to investors in the field of agriculture and related activities.
Al-Quseir also explained the efforts made by the Egyptian state in the field of food security.
On the other hand, the Minister of Agriculture also met on the sidelines of the World Food Forum with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where they stressed the importance of international cooperation and the role of the organization to confront the global food crisis.
The meeting was attended by Bassam Rady, Egypt's ambassador to Italy and its permanent representative to the United Nations organizations in Rome, and Saad Moussa, supervisor of foreign agricultural relations at the Ministry of Agriculture.
