The Iraqi National Security Adviser, Qassem al-Araji, chaired a meeting on the file of compensation for the Iraqi nuclear reactor, which was bombed by Israel in 1981.
The meeting was attended by a number of Iraqi senior officials of various ministries.
The meeting discussed, according to a statement by the National Security Adviser, the file of compensation for the Iraqi nuclear reactor that was bombed by Israel, and the ways and mechanisms for claiming compensation for Iraq, based on UN Security Council Resolution No. 487 of 1981, according to the legal means and options that ensure that Iraq obtains its rights, in accordance with international laws and charters.
According to the statement, the meeting affirmed the consistency of Iraq's rights with UN Security Council resolutions and the obligations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
