After 12-Year Hiatus...Cyprus to Resume Flights to Egypt on May

Cyprus-Airways announced, on Monday, resuming flights between Larnaca and Cairo, starting from May 1, 2022.

After the hiatus in 2010, the airline is resuming its operations by four flights a week in both directions initially, according to the reports.

Cyprus is planning to operate its flights from Larnaca to Cairo every Sunday and Thursday through Terminal 2 at the new Cairo International Airport onboard its modern Airbus 319 aircraft, which have a seating capacity of about 144 seats.

This step affirms the company's endeavor to deepen the bilateral relationship between the two countries in the field of tourism. The company also organized joint tourism programs that combine cultural tourism and beach tourism, which fully supports the tourism movement to the Egyptian and Cypriot markets.

In addition, it stressed the importance of cooperation with airlines in the two countries, hailing the exerted efforts of the Egyptian government to restore its position in the field of tourism regionally and internationally.
