Afsha out of Al Ahly squad for 2 weeks

Al Ahly's football manager Sayed Abdel Hafiz said on Sunday that Al Ahly's midfielder Mohamed Magdy "Afsha" would be ruled of the main squad for the upcoming two weeks.

The Egyptian midfielder was replaced during the CAF Super Cup against Renaissance Berkane of Morocco after suffering a severe ankle injury.

"The x-ray that Afsha underwent showed that he had a pain in the inner ligament of the ankle," Abdel Hafiz said in statements to Al Ahly's official website.

He also added that the 24-year-old international player will be out of the squad for two weeks and he undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program to back once again to the squad.

The Red Devils continued their dominance of the African game after claiming the CAF Super Cup title, following their 2-0 win over the Moroccan club.

It is worth mentioning that the nine-time African champion gear up for their upcoming CAF Champions League's semi-final encounter against ES Tunis on June 18.

The second leg will be held in Cairo, Egypt on June 25.
