The African Union Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization, Economic Diversification, and Free Trade concluded today under the theme “Industrializing Africa: Renewing Commitments for an Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification”.
The leaders of the African Union member states participated in the summit, where the summit dealt with ways of cooperation between the countries of the African continent in the fields of industry and economic development, contributing to economic growth and creating job opportunities in African countries, in addition to mobilizing efforts towards industrialization, as it is one of the most important pillars for achieving economic growth in Africa and the sustainable development goals included in the African Development Agenda 2063.
The summit also discussed important issues such as activating the African Continental Free Trade Agreement and its relationship with industrialization, industrialization, and job creation, as well as technological renewal and organizational capacity in order to improve industrial performance and make it competitive, as well as regional industrial values.
