In an ongoing effort to enhance the capabilities of African journalists and media professionals in Egypt, investigative journalist and founder of the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Revolution" initiative, Eman El Waraki, is set to participate in a training course on artificial intelligence and journalism.
The initiative, called "AfroMedia," will kick off the course next Monday at the Journalists' Syndicate.
This initiative aligns with the celebration of Africa Day and coincides with the anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity and World Press Freedom Day.
The training course will be organized under the supervision of the African Union Office in Cairo, guided by the directives of Agenda 2063, which aims to amplify the voices of African peoples and recognize the role of future generations in achieving African unity and aspirations.
Additionally, it draws upon the communication strategy prepared within this agenda to unify African society segments and raise awareness of the importance of media programs.
El Waraki, with extensive experience in journalism and AI, will enrich the training content and enhance the skills of participating journalists and media professionals.
This supports the initiative's goal of providing intelligent and innovative journalism that reflects the diversity and integration of the African society.
El Waraki is an investigative journalist and international trainer who has received six international and local awards in investigative journalism, including the Arab Journalism Award.
The course is expected to cover topics such as data journalism, artificial intelligence, fact-checking mechanisms, mobile journalism, as well as investigative journalism and podcasts as forms of contemporary media.
