Afreximbank Boss Applauds Sisi’s “Sincere” Efforts

African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) Boss Dr. Benedict Oramah hailed on Sunday the African Continental Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), describing it as one of The African Union (AU) key achievements”.

In his word before AU exceptional summit hosted in Niger, Oramah said that this summit is “historic” by all accounts; adding, “Everyone is waiting for the summit results.”

Moreover, Afreximbank Boss applauded “sincere” efforts exerted by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to achieve the summit’s success.

“The summit participants should take into account important issues including: security and countering terrorism,” He added.

Egypt’s president has announced on Sunday the launching of African Continental Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) operation phase .

Addressing African Union (AU) exceptional summit hosted in Niger, El Sisi confirmed the importance of enhancing communication with the private sector to activate AfCFTA.

“Industrial integration among African continent countries requires more cooperation at all levels,” the president said. “Infrastructure development is indispensable.”

“We must seek to achieve our peoples’ aspirations,” El Sisi noted.

Noteworthy, Egypt's head of state arrived in Niger late Saturday to attend African Union (AU) exceptional summit in the light of Egypt’s current presidency of AU.

El Sisi was received by Niger president Mohamadou Issoufou, and members of Egyptian embassy in Niamey at the airport.
