Former Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani’s brother, Hashmat Ghani, allegedly announced his support for the Taliban, reports said on Saturday.

A video circulating allegedly shows Heshmat pledging support to the Taliban, according to several social media users.

The president’s younger brother, was seen in the video holding hands within the presence of Taliban leader Khalil Rahman Haqqani and religious scholar Mufti Mahmood Zakir.

Journalist Tahir Khan, who shared the video on Twitter, said the video was released by Zakir.

President Ghani fled the country last week after the Taliban took over the country, including the capital Kabul.

Later, he appeared in the United Arab Emirates where he was received on “humanitarian grounds,” according to the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Taliban took over Kabul, causing big chaos all over the country. Meantime, the U.S. government is struggling to ramp up a massive airlift clearing Americans, other foreigners, and vulnerable Afghans through the Kabul airport.

“Any Americans who want to come home, we will get you home,” Biden said while vowing to help Afghans who’d assisted U.S. forces in the country and others who might be in danger.
