A mysterious explosion inside the Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Displacement killed Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the Afghan Minister of Refugees and Displacement, inside the ministry headquarters in the capital, Kabul.
Haqqani, who is considered one of the leaders of the Haqqani Network, which is classified as a terrorist organization in the United States, was killed inside the ministry headquarters amid "mystery" surrounding the bombing that led to his death.
Local press reports revealed that several people were killed in the bombing, without knowing details about the party behind the incident. The Haqqani Network is responsible for some of the bloodiest attacks against the previous Western-backed Afghan government.
