AEW Suspends Jeff Hardy after Recent Police Arrest

Moments ago, Tony Khan, the Chairman of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), announced suspending Jeff Hardy after the AEW star was arrested yesterday.

Khan announced in an official statement: "We've made it clear to Jeff that we'll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he's open to receiving. In the interim, he is suspended without pay, and he can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment."

AEW President's announcement came a few hours after Jeff Hardy's older brother and longtime tag team partner Matt Hardy commented on his brother's issues, pledging that he will continue supporting his brother and his family.

On Monday, Hardy was arrested for DUI as well as driving with a suspended license, and he was “in a stupor and confused,” after being pulled over for “swerving” and “‘running off’ the road.

The police report added that after conducting the breathalyzers twice, Hardy's first sample results came as 0.294, and the second came as 0.291, while the legal limit is 0.08

In addition, it was the third time in ten years for Hardy to be arrested for DUI issue in the same state.

The AEW star spent the previous night performing an acoustic concert, in addition to having a Meet to Greet event in Orlando, Florida.

He was scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday's noon before it was listed as cancelled, and he was bonded out the custody after paying 3500$.

The Hardyz, Matt and Jeff, were scheduled to compete in a ladders match in tomorrow's AEW Dynamite against The Young Bucks, and Jurassic Express.
