Actress Fathia Tantawy Passes Away

Prominent Egyptian actress Fathia Tantawy passed away early Wednesday, her son Mohamed Saad announced on Facebook.

The late actress departed after suffering from a Myocardial Infarction.

The funeral of the late actress is scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon from Al-Hosary Mosque, in the 6th October City.

Tantawy began her artistic career in the sixties through the theatre, which was followed by many cinema and television roles.

The late actress starred in over 140 artistic works. She is best known for her roles in TV series "Albakhil Wa Ana", "Al-Shahd wel Domouaa", "Selsal Al Dam", and "Abbas al Abiad fi al Yawm al Aswad".

She made her last appearance in the 2019 TV series "Abu Gabal" starring Mostafa Shaban.
