ACDCP: More Than 128 Million Doses of Anti-Corona Vaccine Distributed across  Africa

More than 128 million and 42,281  doses of the anti-Corona vaccines have been administered across Africa, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (ACDCP) announced on Tuesday.

The latest statistics issued by the ACDCP  stated that the total confirmed infections with the Coronavirus on the African continent rose to 8,560,043 cases, and 220,851 deaths were recorded as a result of the pandemic at the level of the continent.

On October 7, the ACDCP  announced that the total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus has risen to 8 million, 420 thousand and 43 cases at  the level of the African continent, which means an increase in cases of infections by about 140 thousand in less than one month.

The statement of the ACDCP  "a specialized health care agency of the African Union (AU)", affirmed that the number of deaths due to the pandemic rose to 215,265, while 7,494,079 patients have recovered so far.

According to the statement, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, and Ethiopia are among the most affected countries on the continent, and as of last Tuesday, 99,670,975 doses of vaccine against Corona had been administered across the continent.

On the third of October, the  ACDCP confirmed that 8 million and 330 thousand cases of Coronavirus were recorded on the African continent, and 212,000 deaths, while the total number of people recovered reached 7 million and 671 thousand people since the beginning of the pandemic.

The latest statistics issued by the "ACDCP   showed that 4.3 percent of the continent's population were vaccinated with the anti-Corona vaccines during the first week of October, while the percentage of those who received a single dose was 6.7 percent.
