ACA Head Signs MoU with JIACC Chairman to Fight Corruption

Minister Hassan Abdel Shafi, chairman of Administrative Control Authority (ACA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Muhannad Hijazi, head of Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC)

This came during the UNODC’s anti-corruption conference, which takes place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, with 152 countries meeting to advance action through the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and strengthen integrity responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two officials met and discussed ways of cooperation between the two sides to fight corruption and raise awareness of its danger, as well other issues of common interest.

Abdel Shafi and Hijazi exchanged experts and experiences between the two countries and paid attention to training officials how to use modern methods in detecting corruption crimes and financial investigations in cooperation with the National Anti-Corruption Academy of the ACA.
