Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Expresses Full Solidarity with Jordan

On Monday, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke by phone with Jordan King Abdullah II.

 

During their phone call, Bin Zayed expressed the UAE's full solidarity with  Jordan, and its support for all the measures and decisions taken to preserve its security and stability.

 

"Maintaining Jordan's security and stability is a main pillar of Arab security," Abu Dhabi Crown Prince said, adding,"We reject all that is destabilising Jordan and endangering the safety of its people."

 

On his part, King Abdullah II valued UAE's firm and supportive stances, which embodies the depth of brotherly ties and strength between the two countries.

 

It is worth mentioning that, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Jordan, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti, confirmed today, Saturday, that Prince Hamzah bin Al-Hussein was asked to stop “movements and activities that aim to target Jordan’s security.”

 

Jordan News Agency reported in a statement, that “the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al Hunaiti, confirmed today, Saturday, that allegations published about the arrest of Prince Hamzah are baseless, but he indicated that the prince was asked to stop the movements and activities that are used to target the security and stability of Jordan.”

 

Major General Al-Huneiti said: “investigations are still ongoing,” stressing that “all measures were taken within the framework of the law. “No one is above the law and Jordan’s security and stability are above all.”
