Abu Dhabi Aviation has announced the launch of a new "Air Taxi" service in Egypt, in partnership with the Egyptian Air Force. The service aims to revolutionize domestic travel for both residents and tourists by dramatically reducing transit times between key destinations.
Designed to support tourism, business, and intra-city mobility, the service will operate between major tourist cities and important sites within and around Cairo. It offers a faster, more convenient alternative to traditional ground transportation, with a focus on luxury, accessibility, and speed.
Passengers traveling from Cairo to Egypt’s North Coast will be able to reach their destination in just 60 minutes, while trips to Siwa Oasis will take approximately 90 minutes—a significant reduction compared to long road journeys that can stretch for many hours.
The air taxi service also includes intra-Cairo flights, connecting passengers with some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and expanding access to the New Administrative Capital, Sheikh Zayed, and other rapidly developing urban zones. For instance, a flight from Cairo to the Pyramids is priced at $200 per person, while a trip from Almaza Airport to Sheikh Zayed costs $350. Travel from Cairo to the Citadel is set at $300, and flights to the New Administrative Capital are available for the same rate.
Inter-city routes are also included in the service, offering new connections between Egypt’s most popular destinations. A flight from Hurghada to Luxor will cost $1,500 per person, and Sharm El Sheikh to Saint Catherine is priced at $900. The route from Cairo to Siwa Oasis, one of Egypt’s most remote and culturally rich desert locations, is also priced at $1,500.
