Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of Arab League (AL), received Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, in Algeria, where the 31st Arab Summit will be hosted on November 1-2.
At the outset of the meeting, Aboul Gheit was keen to congratulate the Kuwaiti minister once again on his selection for the position, praising his long diplomatic experience.
He also wished him success in completing his country's march on the foreign affairs level, especially its important and effective role within the framework of the Arab joint action system.
Moreover, the meeting focused on the proceedings of the Arab summit, whose preparatory meetings are being held in the meantime. In this regard, both sides agreed on the importance of reaching a state of consensus on the various issues, given the enormous international challenges that necessitate more solidarity and unity.
