Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his pleasure at meeting Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Fumio Kishada on Sunday.
In a tweet, Aboul Gheit said that he had exchanged views with the Japanese official regarding many international and regional issues, especially the Palestinian issue and the situation in Sudan and Ukraine.
Moreover, AL Secretary-General hailed Japanese relations with the Arab League and its member states, stressing that Tokyo is an important partner for the Arab world.
It is worth mentioning that, Kishida said it was a great honor to visit Arab League (AL) headquarters for the first time, praising its role in promoting stability and world peace.
In his speech before a ceremonial meeting of permanent delegates at Arab League headuarters, Kishada expressed his great support for the Japanese-Arab relations, affirming that they can be developed in the fields of politics, economy and culture.
Furthermore, Japanese PM explained that he has agreed with AL Secretary-General to hold an Arab-Japanese economic forum next September 3.
Moreover, he underlined the need for solidarity between the Arab countries and Japan to enhance the sovereignty of states and the law in light of the current Ukrainian crisis, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation in this context between both countries.
