Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit affirmed on Wednesday, that the upcoming Arab summit will be hosted in Algeria, noting that its date has not been determined yet.
In press statetment, Aboul Gheit added that a ministerial meeting will be held next month to consider Syria's return to the Arab League.
It is worth mentioning that, a high-level delegation from the Arab League (AL) headed, last month, to Algeria on a two-day official visit.
The delegation, headed by Assistant AL Secretary General Hossam Zaki, is set to prepare, and coordinate with the Algerian committee, in charge of supervising the preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, to ensure its success, and facilitate the participation of all member states’ delegations.
Moreover, Algerian Foreign Minister (FM) Ramtane Lamamra arrived in Cairo, to discuss the latest preparations ahead of the upcoming Arab summit, set to be held in Algeria.
The Arab summit was postponed for two years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, as it was scheduled for March 2020.
