Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit congratulated Antonio Guterres on his re-election as United Nations (UN) secretary-general for a second five-year term.
In a message, Aboul Gheit expressed his appreciation for the multi-sided partnership that links the Arab League and the UN.
"We look forward to continuing work, consultation, and coordination to serve the common interests of both sides and achieve security, stability, and development in the Arab region," he added.
Aboul Gheit also wished Guetress a great success especially in the light of the current critical international conditions full of challenges.
