Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the Israeli parliament’s recent measures paving the way for the annexation of occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank, calling them a grave violation of international law.
Aboul Gheit urged the international community to take a firm stand against these actions and warned that silence would embolden extremist and settler groups.
He also welcomed the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion reaffirming Israel’s responsibility toward Palestinians and condemning the use of starvation and forced displacement in Gaza as violations of international law
