Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the renewed treacherous Iranian aggression against the United Arab Emirates, carried out through armed drones and missiles targeting civilian facilities, in flagrant violation of international law and the ceasefire agreement.
Mr. Aboul Gheit also condemned the blatant Iranian attack targeting an Emirati tanker using armed drones while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the drone strike on an oil facility in Fujairah.
He stressed the need for the immediate cessation of all Iranian hostile acts targeting the United Arab Emirates or the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, holding Iran fully responsible for its unlawful actions that threaten international peace and security.
Gamal Roshdy, Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, conveyed Mr. Aboul Gheit’s reaffirmation that Arab national security is indivisible, expressing full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and support for the measures it may take to safeguard its security and territorial integrity.
