Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned what he described as continued Iranian attacks targeting vital civilian facilities in Kuwait, including electricity generation and water desalination plants, according to a statement issued by the Arab League.
The statement said the strikes also affected government buildings in the Shuwaikh area and facilities belonging to the Kuwait National Petroleum Company and petrochemical installations, causing significant material damage. Aboul Gheit warned that targeting essential infrastructure and civilian areas represents a serious escalation and constitutes a violation of international law.
He reaffirmed the Arab League’s full solidarity with Kuwait’s leadership and people, stressing support for any measures taken to halt the attacks and protect the country’s security and stability.
