Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit met Sunday with Bosnian Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional developments.
During the meeting at the League's headquarters, Aboul Gheit praised Bosnia and Herzegovina's supportive stance on Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause. Konaković, currently on an official visit to Egypt, provided an overview of Bosnia’s internal political and economic reforms, as well as its progress toward joining the European Union and NATO.
Spokesman Gamal Roshdy stated that the Secretary-General expressed his support for Bosnia’s path toward European integration. The leaders also exchanged views on Middle East stability, with the Arab League reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that promote regional peace.
