Aboul Ennin wins Mediterranean Noble Prize 2018

Egyptian businessman, honorable president of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Association, Mohamed Aboul Ennin won the Mediterranean Award for Economy and International Diplomacy 2018 from the World Mediterranean Organization.

The prize is awarded from the Mediterranean Global Organization, which deems one of the most prestigious awards in the world. The prize is also known as "Mediterranean Noble" Prize. Many celebrities won the prize such as former US President Barack Obama, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad al-Jaber, former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Late Jordanian King Al-Hussein bin Talal and former Spanish King Juan Carelos I.

Michele Capasso, president of the Mediterranean International Organization, confirmed that Egypt won this award for the second time in its history, noting that the first time was in 2003 when late novelist Naguib Mahfouz won it.

Capasso manifested that 42 countries voted for Aboul Ennin who is considered as one of the prominent figures in the world.

"Aboul Ennin enjoys a long history of contribution in fields of politics, economy and society," Capasso said.
