On Saturday, the Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein mourned the death of Ragai Attia, the head of Egypt's Lawyers' Syndicate, who passed away earlier today at the age of 84 while attending a session in court.

“I mourn with great sadness and sorrow Counsellor / Ragai Attia, the head of Egypt's Lawyers Syndicate, and the president of the Arab Lawyers Union, who passed away this morning after a long journey of giving and serving his profession and the homeland," Abou El-Enein said in a statement.

"The great thinker, writer, and constitutional jurist, Ragai Attia, passed away standing on his feet inside the court. He performed his duty until the last moment of his life...The last farewell was in the places he loved most and among his friends and students. We count him, God willing, one of the martyrs.

May God has mercy on Ragai Attia who left a great legal, cultural and patriotic value ...He enriched the legal and justice arena with his knowledge.

Abou El-Enein also sent his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, his fans, asking God Almighty to bless him with His mercy and inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.
