Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein mourned the death of veteran comedian Samir Ghanem who passed away on Thursday at the age of 84.
Abou El-Enein said that the late actor was the most beloved comedian by all Egyptians due to his devotion to his work, sense of humor, and purity, describing him as one of the greatest comedians in the Middle East.

The Parliament Deputy Speaker added: "We will never forget his iconic works in cinema, theater, and a TV screen that formed an integral part of the identity of the Egyptian art such as his Ramadan shows caught the hearts of all Egyptians.
Ghanem passed away on Thursday at the age of 84 after suffering from medical complications of COVID-19.
