Egyptian volunteers from the Abu El-Enein Foundation for Cultural and Social Work are preparing to send a humanitarian convoy to Gaza on Thursday, carrying thousands of food boxes and essential supplies. The mission comes as part of the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work, marking the first humanitarian move after the ceasefire and the return of displaced families to their homes.

The volunteers said the upcoming convoy reflects the spirit of solidarity and resilience that defined their previous missions to Gaza. Having taken part in more than ten convoys in the past, they recalled spending weeks at the Rafah crossing under heavy bombardment, protecting aid trucks and ensuring that supplies reached those in need.

“Each convoy was more than just aid — it was a message of life,” they said.

For many of the volunteers, the new mission carries a special emotional weight.

“We’re preparing this convoy with an indescribable feeling,” they shared. “Our joy at seeing people return home is perhaps as great as theirs — maybe even greater — because every past effort led to this moment.”

The volunteers described the upcoming mission as unlike any before, calling it a “convoy of peace born from the rubble of war.” They added that entering Gaza after the ceasefire would feel to them like celebrating a national holiday.

As Gaza begins to rebuild and families return, this convoy represents not just aid — but hope, humanity, and Egypt’s continuing commitment to stand with the Palestinian people.
