In a majestic national scene on the Cairo-Ismailia road, the institutions of the National Alliance for Civil and Development work lined up today Thursday, participating in the 12th humanitarian convoy to support people of Gaza.
Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Action, Ms. Somaia Abou El-Enein, and a number of chairpersons of the boards of trustees of the Alliance's institutions participated in the lineup to organize the launch of the new convoy to the Gaza Strip.
The Abou El-Enein Foundation for Social and Cultural Work announced its participation in the front lines of the line-up, continuing its effective role in all previous aid convoys.
The lineup took place under the slogan "Peace Convoy," following the success of Egyptian efforts to establish a ceasefire. Volunteers and field teams from the alliance institutions ,in the early morning, began preparing and loading food and humanitarian aid to ensure its rapid delivery to the people of Gaza.
Somaia Abou El-Enein, Vice Chairwoman of the Foundation's Board of Directors, emphasized that their presence in this event, led by the alliance and coordinated by Ambassador Nabila Makram, represents a message of commitment and loyalty to the Palestinian people. She noted that the volunteers are working with high spirits and clear joy this time, as the convoy comes after the declaration of the ceasefire, transforming from a "convoy under fire" to a "convoy under a sky of peace."
She added that the Abou El-Enein Foundation has participated in all previous field line-ups, from the first convoy that accompanied the alliance to the Rafah crossing under difficult circumstances. Today, it is in the heart of the 12th convoy, with a stronger, more steadfast spirit and a determination to continue providing support until the last truck arrives.
