The Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with the National Alliance for Civil Work for Development, is currently hosting the largest Ramadan Iftar feast in Giza, on El-Bahr El-Aazam Street.
This event, held daily throughout Ramadan, warmly welcomes 7,000 guests each evening, epitomizing the essence of communal harmony and generosity that the holy month stands for.
This year's Iftar gathering continues the Foundation's tradition of community service, offering a rich and varied menu to accommodate the diverse tastes of Giza's residents and visitors. The feast includes a wide selection of proteins like meats, fish, and poultry, complemented by fresh vegetables, rice, fruits, and an assortment of refreshing juices, ensuring a nourishing meal to end the day's fast.
In addition to the Iftar, the Foundation is actively distributing 2,500 Suhoor meals across the community. These essential meals, comprising staples such as bread, beans, and cheese, are designed to support individuals through the fasting hours, embodying the spirit of care and sustenance.
The Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation's efforts extend beyond these meals. Before Ramadan began, the Foundation distributed 250,000 Ramadan packages filled with essential food items to needy families throughout Giza and other regions, aiming to alleviate their burdens during this sacred time.
Rooted in a philosophy of self-sufficiency, the Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation operates without the need for external donations. Under the guidance of Mr. Mohamed Abou El-Enein, the chairman, and Mrs. Somaya Abou El-Enein, the vice-chairman, the Foundation has established a legacy of over forty years of dedicated service to the community. The Foundation's volunteers play a vital role in preparing and distributing these aid packages, ensuring they reach a wide array of families in need in time for Ramadan.
The Foundation's permanent kitchen in Giza is at the heart of its Ramadan initiatives, not just facilitating the expansive Iftar gatherings, but also overseeing mobile units that deliver meals directly to the homes of the elderly and underprivileged, as well as providing specially tailored meals for the sick. This comprehensive approach underscores the Foundation's commitment to nutritional and social well-being during Ramadan.
