Under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action, the "Sawt Al-Moaq" (Voice of the Disabled) Association hosted a major celebration to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The event coincided with the inauguration of the first phase of the newly developed Al-Zohour Model Village, with the significant participation and support of Abou El-Enein Charity Foundation.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished figures, including Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women; Dr. Amany Asfour, Chairperson of the Sawt Al-Moaq Association; and Mrs. Somaya Abou El-Enein, Vice Chairperson of the Abu El-Enein Foundation.
During the event, Mrs. Somaya Abou El-Enein emphasized that supporting individuals with disabilities is a profound humanitarian and societal commitment.
She stated that this commitment begins with education and rehabilitation, leading toward full integration into society.
The celebration also saw participation from representatives of the Ministries of Interior and Health, alongside several supporting institutions and public figures.
The development project included the equipping of specialized educational, sensory, and cognitive rooms for children, designed to enhance their abilities and provide a supportive learning environment.
In recognition of Abou El-Enein Foundation’s pivotal role, Mrs. Somaya Abou El-Enein was honored during the ceremony.
Beyond the structural development of the village, the Foundation provided direct humanitarian support to the children, reaffirming its stance that caring for persons with disabilities is an ongoing national responsibility.
