Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein spoke on Sunday about the importance of establishing the “Africa 50 Company for Project Development” and Egypt’s accession to its agreements.

Abou El-Enein stressed the need to maximize benefit from specialized studies on developing new projects related to the African continent.

Today, the parliament decided during its session to approve the agreement to establish the “Africa 50 Project Development Company” and the joining of its agreement.

The cabinet also approved “Africa 50 Project Finance Company” and the joining of its agreement.

Abou El-Enein pointed to the importance of the company; in light of a number of studies, in developing current projects, and new projects as well, especially since Egypt already has huge projects linking it with the African continent.

The deputy speaker added that It is time to seriously maximize the benefits of these agreements, and work to maximize the added value of projects in Africa.

He pointed out that the absence of infrastructure in Africa increases Egyptian investment opportunities in the continent, noting that, for example, there are about 600 million citizens on the African continent who lack electricity.

He stressed the need to begin preparing specialized initiatives and studies so that Egypt can play a major role in Africa.
