Abou El-Enein, El-Wazir Discuss Silk Road, Cairo-Cape Town Projects

MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein addressed on Sunday a question to the Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir during the Akhbar Al-Youm 7th Economic Conference concerning the studies of the Silk Road and the Cairo-Cape Town project.

On his part, El-Wazir said that Egyptian ports are being repaired and developed to take advantage of the Silk Road and connect Egypt with the African continent.

El-Wazir added that state has started the implementation of dry ports project, increasing the number of shipping lanes, and strengthening the Egyptian maritime fleet to benefit from these projects.

"The budget for transport projects will reach EGP 3 trillion by 2030," the minister concluded.

During the session, Abou El-Enein praised the Minister of Transport, his achievements and contributions in serving various investment sectors through the transport sector.
