Abou El-Enein: Countryside is Source of Talents

These remarks came during a speech given by Abou El-Enein, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ceramica Cleopatra Club, at the Second Arab Conference on Sports and Law, held under the title “Sports Contracts and Settling Their Dispute Locally and Internationally”, organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development in the League of Arab States on Sunday.

He took part in the main session of the Conference on the first day under the theme of "Sports Industry and Sports Investment in Arab Countries".

The Conference is sponsored by Ashraf Sobhi Minister Youth and Sports, in the presence of Mahmoud El-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly club, Taher Abu Zaid, former Minister of Youth and Sports, Saad Shalaby, Executive Director of Al-Ahly Club, and Counselor Abdel Mageed Mahmoud, former Attorney General.

Abou El-Enein said that there are talented young people in the villages and far towns and they may not be able to leave the village or afford clubs membership, noting that they are in the process of solving this issue and making room for small companies at the village level so that talents can emerge easily.

The Deputy Speaker manifested that competitiveness today is not limited to the local scale, but the world has become open to the other and the competitiveness has become global, and the higher the level, the higher the cost of reaching that rank, adding that we need financing, qualification, marketing and creative processes in all fields.

Abou El-Enein concluded that those who made gains should push in this direction, and non-profit sports activities should have special treatment.

In this regard, the well-known politician pointed out that the Egyptian House of Representatives is currently working on discussing draft laws and legislations that shall assist and help the sports sector develop."

"Mohamed Salah is a role model for all other players... We shall pay more attention to exporting more talented players," he added in his speech.

He stressed that when the Ceramica Cleopatra Club opened its doors to receive young players for football trainings, more than 5000 applied to join the first team which means there is a huge interest from the society in this sport.

"Sports investments represents 1.2 percent of the total national income of Egypt," he noted.

The activities of the conference is held from 5 to 8 June to discuss the rules governing player contracts, transfers and agency, sports sponsorship contracts and sports investment, with the participation of a group of experts specialized in sports, law and arbitration.
