Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein congratulated on Saturday Pope Tawadros II and Egyptian Copts on Christmas.
"Merry Christmas," Parliament Deputy Speaker posted on 'Facebook'.
"With feelings overflowing with love, I am delighted to congratulate His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, and my Coptic brothers and sisters on the occasion of Christmas. May God return it to us all, to our dear Egypt and its people, with goodness, blessings, and good tidings," he added.
"I pray to God to make it a blessed holiday and to protect our people in Gaza from all harm. May He return it to our homeland with lasting security, stability, and prosperity under the shadow of a great people who represent a symbol of the interconnected fabric of love and peace," Abou El-Enein said.
"On this good land, we fast and celebrate together as one people, under a homeland in which our souls and hearts are united. May God perpetuate the love that unites the hearts of the Egyptians. And happy new year to all of you," the lawmaker continued.
