On Tuesday, Somaya Abou El-Enein, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation called on Egyptian businessmen, and all segments of society to participate in the 'Shoulder by Shoulder initiative' that kicked off in 16 governorates.
In a telephone interview with prominent TV host Ahmed Mousa in his “Ala Masaolity” (On my Responsibility) talk show, aired on “Sada ElBalad” TV channel, Somaya announced that the Foundation would distribute 4 million cartons of foodstuffs on Friday, March 17, 2023, in order to show support for vulnerable families, and to show solidarity with Egyptians coinciding with the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
She noted that the Abou El-Enein Foundation has been working in the charitable field for 40 years.
Somaya Abou El-Enein indicated that the initiative started with citizens in the border governorates, to reduce the burden on them as well as the severity of the negative effects of the global economic crisis, and contribute to Achieving the goals of sustainable development in all fields.
The National Alliance for Civil Development Work launched the largest initiative for social protection in the history of Egypt and the world, through the "Shoulder by Shoulder" initiative to support citizens in the governorates and to transfer a new model of solidarity between the people of one country, by targeting support for citizens most in need in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.
The deputy-Chairman of the Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation confirmed that the National Alliance has a strategic plan to combat poverty and achieve social justice, confirming that the Foundation's convoys roam Egypt's governorates to provide community services for people.
