Jordan’s King Abdullah II reaffirmed on Sunday that Jordan will not tolerate any attempts to undermine its security, stability, or the safety of its citizens, stressing that the Kingdom will not serve as a battleground for any conflict.
During a meeting with political and media figures at Al Husseiniya Palace, the King expressed appreciation for the role of national elites in clarifying the country’s positions both domestically and internationally, and in strengthening national unity.
He highlighted the grave consequences of the Israeli aggression against Iran and pointed to Jordan’s diplomatic efforts, both regionally and internationally, to achieve comprehensive de-escalation in the region and to restore security and stability.
He also emphasized Jordan’s coordination with key stakeholders to advance peace based on the two-state solution.
The discussion also covered the King’s recent tour of Europe, which focused on garnering international support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, calling for an immediate halt to the war on Gaza, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and an end to the escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
