Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Egypt looks forward to working with the new Dutch government to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

During a meeting with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Reinette Klever, Abdelatty said relations between Egypt and the Netherlands are seeing steady progress on political, economic, and cultural levels.

He pointed to opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, ports, agriculture, healthcare, communications, digital transformation, infrastructure, financial services, and artificial intelligence.

Abdelatty called for increased Dutch investment in Egypt, especially in new economic zones and major national projects, and noted ongoing cooperation in water management, education, and migration.

He also said Egypt is interested in expanding trilateral cooperation with the Netherlands in Africa, drawing on its experience in development and capacity building.

The Dutch minister said her country values Egypt’s role in supporting regional stability and is keen to deepen bilateral ties.
