Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty held a meeting on Saturday with a number of leaders and members of the European department at the ministry as well as the general secretariat responsible for coordinating the Egyptian-European participation agreement.
During the meeting, Abdelatty has emphasized the critical need to implement the comprehensive strategic partnership established between Egypt and the European Union earlier this year.
He also pointed out the significance of monitoring developments concerning the European financial package allocated to Egypt.
Abdelatty underscored the necessity of bolstering bilateral relations with European nations across all sectors, particularly following the elevation of these relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The foreign minister highlighted the importance of conducting regular political consultations with European countries, enhancing economic and trade collaboration, and encouraging European partners to support the Egyptian economy.
In the same connection, he called for an increase in European investments in Egypt, particularly in promising sectors such as energy, renewable energy, education, technology, transportation, logistics, and scientific collaboration.
The minister affirmed the need to motivate European companies to establish operations in Egypt, raise awareness of investment opportunities across various sectors, and improve trade exchanges between Egypt and European nations.
He advocated for greater access for Egyptian exports to Europe and the localization of industry within Egypt.
Abdelatty also highlighted the importance of strengthening communication with Egyptian communities in European countries and ensuring the provision of consular services to Egyptian citizens living in Europe.
