The official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, announced that President Mahmoud Abbas is establishing urgent contacts to stop "the Israeli occupation's aggression against the people of Nablus."

He added that the president is closely following up what is happening in Nablus, and praises the steadfastness of the citizens to defend their land.

Abu Rudeineh described what is happening in the city of Nablus as a "war crime", and blamed "the Tel Aviv government on the repercussions of this aggression."

He said, "The president's speech at the United Nations was a road map, and the decisions of the Central Council are on the table, and Israel must immediately stop its crimes."

The presidential spokesperson held the US administration responsible, noting that it "must intervene immediately to stop the aggression and end this occupation before things become much more dangerous than what Israel and the US administration imagine."

He stressed that "Palestine is facing an apartheid state, and the international community, headed by the US administration, is practicing double standards."

For its part, the Palestinian Cabinet warned that "the Israeli occupation soldiers are committing new crimes in their continuous aggression against the besieged city of Nablus for 15 days."
