Iconic Swedish band "ABBA" will break their 39-year hiatus next Friday with new music and a hologram show.

The song will be the first new music from the "Dancing Queen" hitmakers Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

They have sold more than 500 million records

A hologram show called "Abba Voyage" will be presented on Friday, which will see holographic virtual avatars representing Swedish pop legends ABBA – dubbed “Abbatars” – on stage to perform their songs.

In a statement on Wednesday, a source stated that the show will feature the avatars performing and speaking to the audience.

The Swedish band launched a new website on Thursday, titled "Abba Voyage", and asked fans to register.

ABBA became one of the most successful pop acts in history after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with "Waterloo".

They went their separate ways in 1982 at the height of their career, and during their final years, Bjorn porced his band member Agnetha and Benny and Frida separated as well.

The band released their last studio album “The Visitors” in 1981. It was revealed last year that the band was set to release five new songs in 2021.

The Swedish quartet performed together for the first time in 2016 at a private event, which marked the 50th anniversary of the first meeting between songwriters Bjorn and Benny.

They announced in 2018 their plans to record new music for the first time in 35 years.

However, the plans for a comeback have been in place since 2019 but were derailed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
