About 98,000 foreign tourists visited the capital of Ukraine last year, or 10.4 times less than the year before, when 1.02 million foreign tourists visited the Ukrainian capital, according to data released by Tourism Department of Kyiv city administration.
Moreover, 172,000 domestic tourists visited Kyiv in 2022, compared to 2.1 million a year earlier.
The most tourists visited Kyiv last year from Israel (9,100), Turkey (6,800), Germany (6,400), USA (5,600) and Britain (4,300).
The latets data also sowed that tourism tax revenues in Kiev in 2022 amounted to 38.8 million hryvnias, compared to 76 million hryvnias in January 2021.
