The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club said that the Israeli occupation army has arrested more than 9,750 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
During the arrest campaigns, the Israeli authorities continue to carry out widespread raids and torture, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.
The official "Wafa" agency stated that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies used by the Israeli forces. They are also one of the most prominent tools of the collective punishment policy, which also represents a central tool for Tel Aviv in targeting citizens in light of the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
