An unprecedented heat wave in Spain resulted in the death of 84 people within 3 days, as the temperature was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius, according to "Russia Today".

The Carlos III Institute of Health indicated that between July 10 and 12, 84 people died in Spain due to high air temperatures, while the newspaper "News" reported that most of the victims were over 85 years old.

The Spanish Meteorological Agency raised the weather warning level for most regions to yellow (hazard) and orange (high risk) due to the heat wave.

Forecasts indicate record temperatures or the most extreme since the beginning of historical measurements to include several regions of Europe; and warnings due to the high risk of fires in the forests, and others due to the exposure of some areas to drought.
