Indian officials announced that the death toll from accidents related to heavy rains in the capital, New Delhi, had risen to eight, after search and rescue teams were able to find three bodies.
NDTV quoted an official as saying that the bodies of three workers were recovered from under the rubble of a wall that collapsed at a building site in the "Vasant Vihar" area, south of the capital, in light of the continuing heavy rains.
