At least eight people, including four children, were wounded in a shooting late on the Fourth of July holiday in the Coney Island neighborhood of Brooklyn, according to the New York Police Department.
Authorities said the victims sustained gunshot injuries during the incident, which occurred amid Independence Day celebrations. No fatalities were reported and an investigation is underway.
