Israeli airstrikes on the Al-Maghazi and Al-Bureij refugee camps in central Gaza have killed seven Palestinians, including four children, and left others injured, according to Palestinian media reports on Sunday.
The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that two children were killed and several others injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in Al-Maghazi camp. In a separate attack, a drone strike on a makeshift shelter housing displaced families in the same camp resulted in the death of one person and injuries to three others.
Meanwhile, four Palestinians, including two young sisters, were killed in an airstrike on a family home in Al-Bureij camp. Their mother and two other children sustained critical injuries.
The violence extended to northern Gaza, where emergency crews recovered the bodies of two Palestinians from the Al-Saftawi area, northwest of Gaza City. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened heavy fire along Salah Al-Din Street, from the Al-Tahliya roundabout to the Ma’an area east of Khan Younis, heightening fears among residents.
Additionally, several Palestinians were injured, some critically, in an Israeli strike near Al-Akkad School in Kherbat Al-Adas, north of Rafah in southern Gaza.
The latest attacks come amid mounting casualties and a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Civilian homes and refugee shelters continue to be primary targets, with many families suffering devastating losses. The international community has expressed growing alarm over the high number of civilian casualties, including women and children, in the ongoing conflict.
Humanitarian agencies have called for immediate action to protect civilians and ensure access to medical care and humanitarian aid as the violence shows no signs of abating.
