At least seven people were injured in a shooting at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania late Saturday, authorities reported.
The Chester County District Attorney’s office confirmed that law enforcement responded to the incident and are conducting a thorough investigation. Details about the victims’ conditions have not yet been released, and authorities have urged the public to avoid the area.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro stated on social media that he has been briefed on the situation and pledged full support from his administration to both the university and local law enforcement.
Lincoln University, a historic institution for Black students, is located approximately 45 miles southwest of Philadelphia in Oxford.
